As your therapist, my goal is to help you take some of the burdens off your shoulders that feel like they are weighing you down. I’m strongly motivated to help you identify your goals to accomplish this.  Therapy can provide the opportunity to safely discuss and express the things we do not or cannot share in our day to day lives.  Finding a therapist who you feel comfortable with and trust can be difficult.  Painful life experiences, past trauma and current situations can cause you to feel stuck, depressed, or anxious.  You may have noticed changes in your relationships, work, mood, self-esteem or may just feel that you haven’t been yourself.

Seeking help, especially therapeutic help, can be hard.  As your therapist I offer a warm, safe, directive, and non-judgmental environment. I compassionately listen, encourage, support, challenge and empower you to make changes. I will guide you through feedback or suggestions to make informed decisions about how to deal with issues that we identify together. I believe that you deserve to feel respected, supported and understood.

I understand that the idea of “going to therapy” can be intimidating, and it doesn’t help that there are many misconceptions and preconceived notions about what therapy is or what it means. I hope to make this a warm experience for you to feel safe and listened to in order to focus on your needs and to provide you with the support that you’re looking for.
