Erin Forbes, LISW

As a therapist, I believe that a person is more than just what they have experienced. Each one of us is made up of so many different thoughts, emotions and ideas, and I have devoted my career to finding ways of honoring who you are, as well as who you want to become. My clients range from children to adults, and my special interests are with teens, parents and families. I am clinically trained to help individuals and families experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression, impulsivity, conflicts and grief. My style is direct, non-judgmental and supportive, as we work together to create a treatment plan that uniquely fits your needs.

My specialties include problem-solving, trauma, parent coaching, blended family issues and teen concerns. I am one of few practitioners in the area trained in Collaborative Problem Solving (CPS), a revolutionary technique clinically proven to durably solve the most challenging issues in your home. I also have training in EMDR, play therapy and DBT.

I know that our lives get busy, so I offer flexible scheduling options, including weekend, to help make therapy more possible. Please know that you are not defined by your troubles, and that help is out there. Feel free to reach out with any questions. I am looking forward to hearing from you.
