Have you ever wished life came with an instruction manual? I know I have--and it was the search for understanding of the human experience that led me to become a therapist. Through the years, I have realized that every person is the expert of their own life and that we all have wonderfully unique strengths to contribute to the world.
The role of therapy is not to hand you answers but rather, to guide a process of discovery where you are empowered to create your own best life through acceptance of the Self and a holistic re-integration of mind, body, and spirit. I utilize the modalities of Internal Family Systems, Compassionate Inquiry, somatic body work and mindfulness as the basis of my practice, as well as existentialism and connection with the natural world. I strive to provide a neuro-affirming, trauma-informed safe space where all parts of you are welcome and celebrated.
One of the greatest privileges of my life has been the opportunity to witness the incredible healing power that people have within themselves, to hold space for deep emotional growth, and to facilitate positive, lasting change through a compassionate, mindful approach.
With over 20 years' experience as an animal-assisted practitioner, educator and an expert in the human-animal bond, it is particularly rewarding when I am able to combine my passions for working with people and their animals in transformational ways. Our relationships with our pets are can be some of the most powerful connections we have, and can offer unique insights into our healing journeys.
