Jody Hostert, PMHNP-BC, ARNP

I am a board certified psychiatric nurse practitioner with over 20 years of inpatient and outpatient experience. I am independently licensed and able to provide assessment, diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic mental health conditions including prescribing psychiatric medications.

Medication can be an integral part of brain health for those that struggle with a variety of mental health challenges. Sometimes we get down on ourselves and think we are not trying hard enough to feel better. Making the right diagnosis and choosing the appropriate medications can make a world of difference. Finding the right balance can be difficult and stressful. That is why it is so important to work with someone who specializes in mental health and psychiatric medications. I am someone who will listen to what you need and be responsive and open minded about finding the best approach.

My areas of specialty include working with adults ages 18-60+ and with members of our LGBTQ+ community. I treat the full range of mood disorders, including depression and bipolar affective disorder, as well as anxiety disorders and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). It is important to me to work from a holistic team approach. This can include other mental health or medical professionals that are a part of your care team, depending on your preferences.

Jody offers telehealth appointments.

Jody uses a HIPAA compliant program for telehealth appointments called Doximity. There is nothing for you to download, when it is time for your appointment Jody will initiate the call through Doximity and you will receive a text message with a link. All you need to do is click the link to be connected and start the call.

To contact Jody, you can leave a message for her at our main office number, 319-382-8660.
